Several initiatives have sprung up in Austria over the past few years to promote more efficient use of cars and parking space, offering commercial or privately organized car-sharing services. At present, car-sharing services are mainly clustered in cities; nationwide coverage with a range of different forms of car-sharing and appropriate vehicles will impact the future of mobility.
