The existing state of the world is not a constant, which allows futurologists to predict the development of society. One of the concepts under consideration is that of the “corporation-state,” where conditions will be created to disclose each person’s personality, which is the way to true freedom. And this finds its confirmation in the libertarian philosophy, based on a worldview of free people, mature, independent, who have taken full responsibility for their lives and are not afraid of this responsibility.
The quintessential libertarian interaction between citizen and state: The state should have a strictly limited functionality, namely responsibility for external and internal security, arbitration, courts of law, international representation, and management of the common infrastructure. The citizen can do the rest independently.
One of the main principles of libertarianism is “self-ownership. No one can dispose of another’s life, body, or property. One belongs only to oneself and to risk oneself is solely one’s conscious choice. Therefore, the army can only be a contract army. Or the next thing is that for a citizen, the state is only necessary to perform functions that are ineffective to perform on one’s own, such as defense against external enemies. According to libertarianism, it is time for humanity to think not about abstract democracy as self-value but as responsible democracy. One promising way of eliminating this contradiction might be to move from simple voting to ranked voting. The libertarian concept supports a different pension system model, in which each citizen is responsible for the formation of their pension savings. No one is better able to manage their money than the individual himself.
Example of a Libertarianism government system
No society today is a pure model of libertarianism. Every society reflects a balance of libertarian and statist components. In North Korea, the state-centric component prevails. In the E.U., there is more libertarianism, but the field of application is narrower. In Switzerland, the proportion of libertarianism is more significant.
